Arequipa and the Surrounding Area

8:11 PM

I have finally begun the overwhelming task of going through the thousands of photos I took in Peru this past August 2012.  During the first part of this trip we visited Peru’s second largest city, Arequipa and the surrounding area.  Outside the city it’s possible to see a host of high elevation species of birds and mammals, and of course the views are spectacular.  The city is surrounded by three magnificent volcanoes  Misti, Chachani and Pichupichu.

I will let the photos speak for themselves :)
