Niagara Birding

8:40 PM

A few weeks ago six of us (including my good friend and bird guide Jenn Sinasac) travelled to the Niagara area to search for gulls and other birds.  Our first stop of the day was at a local residents home where an American White Pelican (pictured below) was hanging out for a few weeks.  Next we visited Niagara-On-The-Lake and Niagara Falls.  We spotted a total of 44 species and highlights included a Razorbill, Iceland Gulls, Glaucous Gulls, a Red-Bellied Woodpecker and a Tufted Titmouse.

If you haven't travelled to Niagara Falls during the winter for gulls and a variety of other species you are missing out!  This is a must do winter birding trip.
