Baillie Birdathon 2011

4:30 PM

The Baillie Birdathon is the oldest sponsored bird count in North America. The challenge is to identify as many bird species as possible within a 24-period, during the month of May. Individual birders or birding teams participate to raise money for bird research and conservation.

Natura Tours is proud to be participating in the 2011 Baillie Birdathon. Our team Natura Birders made up of 4 birders Jenn Sinasac, Scott Taylor, Jenny Montgomery and Kristen Martyn. All of the funds that our team raises will benefit Bird Studies Canada (the Canadian co-partner of BirdLife International) to the James L. Baillie Memorial Fund. which provides research grants to amateurs across Canada, and participating conservation and naturalist clubs. All contributions to Birdathon are tax-creditable (Canadian Registered Charity No. 119024313RR0001).
